Unlocking the Power Hidden Beneath Your Thoughts
What the bible says:
Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue;
Those who love to use it will eat its fruitage.“ NWT
Here the reference to the tongue can also include our internal dialog. What we say to ourselves.
One survey says we do this up to 12,999 times every day.
Marisa Peer in her book “Tell yourself a better lie” page 287 says “Your every thought and word form a blueprint that your mind and body work to make your reality.”
What does that mean for you?
Let me explain. Our conscious mind is the narrator of our waking life. It sorts, filters, and interprets every sound, sight, and sensation, shaping reality into something logical and familiar. It speaks the language of thoughts — structured, deliberate, analytical.
But beneath that surface lies the subconscious mind, a vast archive of everything we’ve lived,
felt, feared, and believed.
This deeper mind speaks a different language — the language of emotion.
Its stored impressions quietly sculpt our habits, reactions, and patterns of thinking.
In states like hypnosis, the conscious mind softens, and the subconscious rises to the foreground. The two begin to move in harmony, almost as if they vibrate on the same frequency.
The usual filters fall silent, and we experience reality through pure feeling
rather than thought.
In that space, we become more open, more receptive — able to sense without overthinking.
And here’s the truth we often avoid: Our greatest fear isn’t that we’re inadequate.
It’s that we are far more powerful than we allow ourselves to believe.
It’s our brilliance — not our shadows — that unsettles us.
We wonder, Who am I to be radiant, gifted, magnetic, extraordinary?
But the real question is: Who are you not to be?
We are all children of God. Playing small does nothing to serve the world.
There is no wisdom in shrinking so others feel more comfortable.
We were created to reveal the glory placed within us — not just a select few,
but every single one of us.
And when we allow our own light to shine, we silently give others permission to rise too.
What the Bible says:
As we free ourselves from fear, our very presence becomes a catalyst that frees others.
Matthew 9:12 reads “Teach someone righteous, and he will add to his learning. Hearing them, he said: Healthy people do not need a physician, but those who are ill do.” NWT
Here are more references about what the bible says about the language of emotion.
1. Proverbs 4:23 — The Heart Shapes Everything. Above all the things that you guard, safeguard your heart, for out of it are the sources of life.” NWT
This verse shows that our inner emotional world directs our actions, choices, and patterns — exactly what we mean by the subconscious shaping behaviour.
1 Samuel 16:7 — God Reads Emotion, Not Just Words “Man sees what appears to the eyes, but Jehovah sees into the heart.” NWT
The heart — our emotional core — is what God pays attention to. It’s the truest language we speak.
Psalm 139:23–24 — Emotions Reveal Hidden Paths “Search me, O God… see whether there is in me any harmful way.” NWT
David acknowledges that emotions can run deep and unseen. He invites God to explore the subconscious layers that influence behaviour.
Proverbs 15:13 — Emotion Shapes Perception “A joyful heart makes for a cheerful countenance, but a painful heart crushes the spirit.” NWT
Emotion doesn’t stay hidden — it colours how we see the world and how we show up in it.
Luke 6:45 — Emotion Drives Expression “Out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” NWT
Our emotional storehouse eventually spills into words, tone, and behaviour. The heart’s “language” becomes visible.
Romans 12:2 — Renewing the Inner Patterns “Be transformed by making your mind over.” NWT
This speaks to re‑patterning the inner emotional and subconscious responses — the very work you’re describing in your blog.
Psalm 51:6 — Truth in the Inner Self “You desire truth in the inward parts.” NWT
God values emotional honesty — the deep, inner truth beneath our conscious thoughts.
Philippians 4:7 — Peace That Guards the Heart “The peace of God… will guard your hearts and your mental powers.” NWT
Emotion and thought are intertwined. Peace stabilizes both.
Each of these scriptures reinforce the idea that:
- The heart (emotion) speaks its own language
- God listens to that language
- Our emotional patterns shape our behaviour
- Transformation begins in the inner, unseen places
They pair beautifully with your exploration of the conscious mind, subconscious mind, and spiritual identity.
